The generic formulation of Brovana, aformoterol, is currently available from Lupin Pharmaceuticals. Brovana is FDA approved to treat chronic obstructive pulmonary disease. The generic is available as a solution for nebulization in 30 and 60 vial packages.

Generic prescription drugs approved by the FDA have the same high quality and strength as brand name drugs. Generic prescription drug manufacturing and packaging sites must pass the same quality standards as those of brand name drugs.
