Generic Release Of Breo Ellipta Inhaler Is Now Available
The generic formulation of Breo Ellipta Inhaler, Fluticasone Furoate/Vilanterol Inhaler, has been recently released. Fluticasone Furoate/Vilanterol Inhaler is used to treat asthma in patients 18 years and older. It is also used in the maintenance treatment of airflow obstruction in patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), including chronic bronchitis and/or emphysema; to reduce exacerbations of COPD in patients with a history of exacerbations. Fluticasone 100mcg/Vilanterol 25mcg is the only strength indicated for the treatment of COPD.
The generic formulation of Fluticasone Furoate/Vilanterol is manufactured by Prasco. The generic strengths are Fluticasone 100mcg/Vilanterol 25mcg and Fluticasone 200mcg/Vilanterol 25mcg.
Generic prescription drugs approved by the FDA have the same high quality and strength as brand name drugs. Generic prescription drug manufacturing and packaging sites must pass the same quality standards as those of brand name drugs.
