Launch of Generic Aciphex® 20mg Tablets

On Friday, November 8, Lupin Pharmaceuticals, Inc., launched the generic equivalent of Aciphex® delayed-release tablets 20mg (rabeprazole sodium) following the expiration of pediatric exclusivity.

Rabeprazole sodium is used for the short-term treatment in healing and symptomatic relief of duodenal ulcers and erosive or ulcerative GERD; maintaining healing and reducing relapse rates of heartburn symptoms in patients with erosive or ulcerative GERD; treatment of daytime and nighttime heartburn and other symptoms associated with GERD.
