Giving a Gift – The Reason for the Season

Carlisle Medical and Carlisle and Associates chose to contribute to the Penelope House this holiday season. The Penelope House is a non-profit organization established in 1979 by the Daughters of Penelope to help victims of domestic violence. The center is the only shelter for battered women and children in the Mobile, Alabama area. They are currently spanning across Mobile and Washington counties in Alabama. The Carlisle employees raised a total of $1132 this year and Mr. and Mrs. Carlisle matched the employees’ contributions, making the grand total $2,264. On December 20, 2010, Mr. Carlisle, Allen McLean, Nivia MacDonald, Tina Neylon, Jennifer Quinnie and Teresa Smith presented Tonie Ann Torrans, Executive Director of the Penelope House with our donation.
